1. What to Expect During the Worship Service
- Traditional Worship: Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. - Find the familiar in a new way.
- Worship Style: As an ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) congregation, the service is Christ-centered with a focus on community, music, and liturgy.
- Communion: "All who are hungry, come and hold out your hand, you will be fed". Everyone is welcome at the table.
- Children: There is a dedicated "Sunday Adventures" Sunday School and Confirmation classes, held at 8:45 AM before the main service. Activity bags are available for kids to use during service. Kids are invited to participate in "Junior Church" for part of the service, then reunite later in the service with their family for communion and a blessing .
2. Opportunities for Connection
- Get Connected Cafe: After service, stay and enjoy coffee, bacon, breakfast items and conversation!
- Tavern Talks: A casual "Bible, Bourbon, and Beverage" group that meets weekly (Wednesday nights) online and in-person.
- Lift Your Spirits: A weekly online Bible study that encourages bringing a favorite beverage (Tuesday nights).
- Work Crew: this group meets weekly (Wednesday mornings) to tackle routine maintenance, repairs, and special facility projects together. Each gathering balances honest work with fellowship, conversation, and encouragement. Whether you are a skilled tradesman or just want to help, there is a place for you to serve and connect.
- Service Opportunities: Habitat for Humanity & ReStore
Our service groups partner with Habitat for Humanity to build safe, affordable housing and volunteer at the ReStore. We put our faith into action by constructing homes and assisting with retail operations that fund local builds. Whether you want to swing a hammer or help organize inventory, your hands can help transform lives in our community.
- Community Groups: The building hosts various community interests, including Scouting, Garden Clubs, Benfield Brass, and Alcoholics Anonymous.
