Monroe Clemmer and Lena A. Clemmer Memorial Scholarships The Monroe Clemmer and Lena A. Clemmer Memorial Scholarships have been established as a self-perpetuating scholarship funds in memory of Monroe B. Clemmer and Lena A. Clemmer, both charter members of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. The ROBERT E. SHERMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP has been established as a self-perpetuating scholarship fund in memory of Robert E. Sherman.
Members of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church wishing to apply for the MONROE B. CLEMMER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP or the LENA A. CLEMMER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP should meet the following criteria:
- Be a confirmed or transfer member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average throughout high school up to and including the end of the first semester of the senior year.
- Be applying to a four-year accredited college or university
- Will have been actively involved in community service.
- Will have been actively involved in the church.
- Will provide two letters of reference.
- Will agree to a scheduled interview.
- Will complete the application form by the designated time.
- To be considered for this scholarship once in college, a progress report and proof of grades must be submitted for each academic year.

ROBERT E. SHERMAN
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPThe ROBERT E. SHERMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP has been established as a self-perpetuating scholarship fund in memory of Robert E. Sherman. Mr. Sherman’s contributions to Our Shepherd and the community-at-large are many and are described in detail in a brochure prepared at the time the scholarship was established.
Awards will be made annually and may be renewed for up to 4 years. Funds will be sent directly to the educational institution on behalf of the recipient.
WHO MAY APPLY: Priority will be given to graduating high school seniors planning to attend an accredited undergraduate college or university. Consideration will also be given to students who plan to attend accredited vocational or trade schools or community colleges; students who plan to return to post-secondary education after an interruption; and students in graduate, professional, or post-BA/BS programs.
CRITERIA:
- Be a communing member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church for at least one year.
- Demonstrate academic achievement-excellence in effort and performance.
- Demonstrate Christian character, service, and citizenship by participation in and/or leadership in activities in the church, school, or community.
- Clear statement of educational and career goals.
- Financial need will be considered but is not the primary factor in awards.
- Will provide two letters of reference.
- Will agree to a scheduled interview.
- Will complete the application form by the designated time.
- Provide transcript for review. Once in college, a progress report and proof of grades must be submitted for each academic year.
Checks will be made out to the institution but provided to the student.
