June 25, 2000 That God is in control seems to be a powerful theme running through today’s passages from both Job and Mark. Often we need to be reminded (in this great age of discovery) that there is still so much about the foundations of the earth that we do not know. Likewise, in the ongoing struggle we have with the various storms of life, we need to know that Jesus’ ability to calm the sea is available in every age. “God reigns, let the earth be glad!”
